Some of us have a problem with waiting. Some of us think that waiting equates with lazy. Some of us are simply too busy to wait. So what is the value of waiting anyway?
Jesus waited approximately 30 years before he began to train the 12
The 12 waited 3 years and then were commissioned
The 72 waited and then were commissioned and sent out
The 120 waited in the Upper Room to receive the Holy spirit. (It is interesting to note that 500 heard the call from Jesus to go to the upper room; however only 120 were obedient.) That means 380 must have been too busy to wait.
That day 3000 were added to the church in one day!
Today, in 2008, many of us are simply to busy to wait. Hmmmm?…. so how much more could He accomplish through us if we were willing to wait?
